Smallworlds: an adventurers game
Smallworlds is played with a minimum of two players and a maximum of six. Each player can choose to play as either a gnome, lion, or tree fairy with the latter being by far the most common choice. There are no special techniques or strengths for any of the player types. The only real difference between them is the way they appear on your screen when you walk/run/jump etc.
Regardless of what you play as, there's only one goal: to do missions and collect as many gold coins as possible. The player with the most coins at the end of a given week is declared the grand champion and wins a special reward. The more rewards you win, the more bragging rights and respect you get in the smallworlds community.
If you want other players to fear you, you'll have to harness the power of magic. Once it's your turn to make a move in the game, the great wizard will reveal his cards and you'll have to react quickly depending on what you see. If you see a black heart for example, you need to cast a river spell. If you fail to do so, you'll end up losing health points. Lose enough health points and your character will soon be too weak to continue on. Once you find yourself in this situation, you can either start anew by creating a new character or strengthen your existing character with a cheat. If you decide to use a cheat, make sure that you're careful because I've heard stories about people getting banned for that.
When a wizard drops dead, they automatically fold all remaining hands which means that you win. While it can be a good idea to defeat a wizard the ordinary way for more points, I've found that the extra time you have to spend isn't really worth it.
Another thing. If you find yourself getting bltzed by a bunch of gnomes when you're trying to regain xp-points, use the mist spell. Time it right and the gnomes will get dizzy and confused, rendering them harmless. Now you can take their gold or even better, follow them home, spy on them, and pay them a visit when they're away. You can rake in some serious points doing this and nothing else.
